NOPCA offers flexible volunteer opportunities to accommodate various schedules. Most patrol volunteers commit to 4-8 hours per month, but there are many ways to contribute with different time commitments. During your onboarding, we'll work with you to find a role and schedule that fits your availability.

No special qualifications are required to become a NOPCA volunteer. We provide all necessary training for your specific role. All volunteers must pass a background check and complete our basic training program. Specialized roles may require additional training, which we provide at no cost to volunteers.

To start a NOPCA chapter, you'll need a core team of at least 5-10 committed individuals to serve in leadership roles. As your chapter develops, you'll work to recruit additional volunteers from your community. Our chapter development team will guide you through the process of building your membership.

Yes, NOPCA is a registered non-profit organization in Canada, and donations are eligible for tax deductions. You will receive an official tax receipt for any donation of $20 or more. For monthly donors, you'll receive a consolidated tax receipt at the end of the calendar year.
